On Wednesday T-Mobile Announced it was bringing its Free 911 texting service via Starlink to all customers, and it's free for AT&T and Verizon users.

In July of 2025, T-Mobile launched its 'T-Satellite" services to all customers in the US for only $10 a month, it allows both T-Mobile and non T-Mobile customers to send and receive messages, share their location, and use some apps over satellite internet. It also includes free texts to 911.

To sign up for the free emergency satellite texting, you need a compatible phone. Phones with emergency satellite texting built in, such as the iPhone 14 and later, and the Pixel 9 and up, are not compatible with T- Satellite as that service (not T-Satellite) is already built in.
