On Thursday, Apple released the first beta of iOS 26.2, with updates to Apple Music, Podcasts, News and, Liquid Glass.

The update brings a small but useful change to Apple Music: offline lyrics.

Apple first added lyrics to Apple Music 9 years ago and since then it's gotten a lot of updates, such as, live lyrics, karaoke mode, lyric translations. However in order for the lyrics feature to work, your iPhone, iPad, Mac or Apple Watch needs an internet connection.

The offline lyrics have been a common request in the Apple Music community (on Reddit).

It is a small update, but it's the little details that matter and make the whole experience better
