We've all been there, there's this Bluesky post you shared months ago, you remember sharing it but don't know the exact wording, and it was so long ago that scrolling all the way back and going through PDS records will take years. But did you know the "search" tab on Bluesky is more useful than looking for profiles? Here's how to search like a pro
Posts that mention a specific user
To find posts that mention a specific user use the search terms @atproto.com, to:atproto.com, or mentions:atproto.com, these all work when searching for post that mention a specific user.
To find posts that mention you (only works if you're logged in), use the search term mentions:me or mentions:yourhandle, (replace "yourhandle" with your handle).
Posts from a specific user
To find pots shared from a specific user, use from:atproto.com. To find posts from yourself, use from:me or from:yourhandle, if you're not logged in. (replace "yourhandle" with your handle).
TIP: You can combine search terms together. Example: Search posts from yourself that mention a specific user. mentions:atproto.com from:me, this will show posts from you that mention atproto.com.
Posts that contain a specific URL/Domain
To find posts that have links to a specific domain, use domain:atproto.com to see posts that contain links to atproto.com
Posts within a specific date and/or time range
To find a post within a specific date range, use since:YYYY-MM-DD and/or until:YYYY-MM-DD. If you want to narrow it down by time, use UTC timestamps, YYYY-MM-DDTHH:MM:SSZ.
NOTE: This currently does not work for local timezone formats. Please use the UTC format. Here is a timezone converter.
