On Tuesday Apple announced via a Newsroom Article that Tap to Pay on iPhone will be coming to Hong Kong, this will allow business and independent sellers to use the iPhone in their pocket to send and receive payments.

Tap to Pay allows iPhones (and Apple Watches) to make and receive payments using the Apple Pay Network, for a truly seamless contactless payment method with advanced security features. All transactions are encrypted, and Apple can't see when the purchase was made or the person who made the purchase.

Tap to Pay is convenient for small business or when you're on the go, Tap to Pay uses your iPhone's (or Apple Watch's) built in NFC chip to securely authenticate and transfer information at lightning fast speeds.

Starting today, Adyen, Global Payments, KPay, and SoéPay will be the first payment platforms in Hong Kong to offer Tap to Pay.
